Parish Council Elections
In May there will be an election for all the seats on the Parish Council; why don’t you think about becoming a Parish Councillor? All you need to become one is:
- Be aged 18, on the electoral role, be a citizen of UK, Commonwealth, EU or Ireland, resident within 3 miles of the parish or own land or work in the parish
- Be able to attend regular evening meetings
- Be interested in local issues, but not just a single issue
- An understanding and willingness to represent the views of the whole community
- An interest in being a professional and effective councillor
For more information about what is involved please contact Liz Morris, the Parish Clerk, on 834233. Don’t just leave it to others, play a part yourself. The next meeting of the Parish Council will be on Wednesday 25th February 2015 at 8.00pm in the Village Hall. Members of the public are invited to attend.
